DropZone ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our software or visit this website.
Purchase information: When you purchase a license, Stripe collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive your email address and the plan you purchased — we do not receive or store your full card number.
License keys: Your email address is embedded in your signed license key to identify the licensee. The key is stored locally on your machine — we do not have a database of activated installs.
Auto-renewal checks: Enterprise licenses periodically contact our licensing server to verify your subscription is active. This request contains your signed license key (which includes your email and Stripe customer ID) and nothing else.
Website analytics: We do not use third-party analytics trackers on this website. Standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) may be retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Stripe: Payment processing. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Resend: Transactional email delivery (license keys, renewal confirmations). Emails are sent to the address you provide at checkout.
Railway: Our website and licensing API are hosted on Railway. See Railway's Privacy Policy.
GitHub: The DropZone installer is distributed via GitHub Releases. Downloads are subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement.
The DropZone desktop/server application runs entirely on your own infrastructure. File events, folder paths, rule configurations, action credentials (SMTP passwords, API keys, etc.), and audit logs are stored locally on your machine or server.
We have no access to the files you monitor, the actions you configure, or any data processed by your DropZone instance.
We retain your email address and Stripe customer record for as long as your account is active or as required by law. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, subject to legal and accounting retention obligations.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].
License keys are signed with RSA-PSS cryptography. Communications between the app and our licensing server use HTTPS. Payment data never touches our servers — it is processed entirely by Stripe.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date. Continued use of DropZone after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
